why do therapists need a meet-up?

Being a therapist can be an incredibly rewarding profession — but it can also be a surprisingly lonely one.

We spend our working days sitting alongside other people, listening deeply, holding space and supporting others through some of the most personal parts of their lives. Yet outside of the therapy room, our own professional lives can sometimes feel quite isolated.

I know this because I’ve experienced it myself.

There's no signup required, just turn up at The Postbox Sports Bar in Basingstoke on the 19th October at 6:30pm.

APRIL

community within the therapy world is so important

My Story

When I first started out as a therapist, I often felt like I was working in my own little bubble. And over the years, I’ve heard the same thing from so many other therapists: “It can be lonely.” Even when we love what we do, there can be a real lack of opportunity to simply meet other people who understand the world we work in.

That’s one of the reasons I’m launching the Hampshire Therapist Meet-Up — a quarterly gathering for therapists and practitioners to come together, connect, network and simply feel part of something.

You don’t need to be part of Reveal & Heal Therapy Hub to attend. This is open to therapists and practitioners across Hampshire, whether you work privately, within an organisation, from home, online, from your own practice, or somewhere in between.

"My bigger mission is to reduce professional isolation and loneliness within the therapeutic community, while also helping to connect therapists with the wider Hampshire community."

It’s a chance to meet new people, put faces to names, make professional connections, share ideas, have a coffee and perhaps discover opportunities you didn’t even know were on your doorstep.

I also want these meet-ups to help shine a light on the incredible range of support, training and professional development available within our local therapeutic community. There will be opportunities for practitioners to share what they offer — whether that’s supervision, CPD, specialist training, workshops or other services that could be useful to fellow therapists.

Reveal & Heal Therapy Hub is now home to a community of around 60 therapists and practitioners, working across a wonderfully diverse range of therapeutic and holistic modalities.

My bigger mission is to reduce professional isolation and loneliness within the therapeutic community, while also helping to connect therapists with the wider Hampshire community.

There is so much knowledge, experience and passion locally. Sometimes we just need a space to bring people together.

And this is already becoming a pretty special community.

What started with me feeling lonely as a therapist has grown into Reveal & Heal Therapy Hub — now home to a community of around 60 therapists and practitioners, working across a wonderfully diverse range of therapeutic and holistic modalities.

The hub itself is continuing to grow, and if you’re looking for a therapy room, we have availability and are always welcoming new practitioners into the community. But you don’t need to rent a room from us to be part of this.

Come along. Meet some people. Have a chat. Build your network. Find your people.

Because therapy might be one-to-one — but being a therapist doesn’t have to be lonely.
